I was raised in Western North Carolina. Starting at the age of 8, fly-fishing was my outdoor passion. It wasnt just something to do to me, it was my lifestyle. I chose Appalachian State University for college. The many miles of trout streams right around campus influenced this decision. I have fly fished in Montana, North Carolina, New York, Virginia, and Tennessee. I founded the App State Fly-Fishing Club. We have been pretty recognized by getting in the Drake mag, and on online fly fishing video sites. I love it all, but my passion is fly-fishing for the native brook trout in our local tiny mountain streams. I want my career to be something in fly-fishing.
BRENT
Being raised in Western North Carolina I was lucky enough to be surrounded by the oudoors. I fell in love with fishing as a boy and it has never stopped. Being introduced to fly-fishing by my dear friends was ever life chaning for me. I go to Appalachian State University with three other fish bums Justin, Matt, and Will. I am excited to see where it can take us.
Matt
Fairly new to fly fishing, Matt has dedicated most of the last year with minuscule details of information that Will, Brent, and Justin has taught. His passion is native specks but he enjoys the energy of fly fishing and the way it helps understand other parts of his life. More importantly Matt keeps up with fly fishing literature through fellow blogs, books, and other online media. Fly fishing can be a hobby or a passion, Matt has chosen it to be his zeal for life.
Will
Raised in the middle of suburbia in Cary, North Carolina, when he first discovered fly fishing and then the mountains, he found his calling. There was no other option for school besides Appalachian State Univesity, so he could be near the streams and the trout that swim in them. After meeting the other three amigos, he joined the newly founded ASU Fly Fishing Club. Justin and Brent turned him on to tailwaters and brook trout and there was no turning back.
